Behavior Expectations and Discipline

We expect students to show respect for all school property – building, grounds, furnishings, books and equipment.  In cases of willful destruction or neglect, the cost of restitution will be the responsibility of the offending student and his/her parent or guardian.

Students are not to use a school telephone or cell phones unless they have permission from a teacher. Messages will be taken by the secretary and will be given to the student.  Damage or loss of cell phones is the responsibility of the student and parent, not the school.

Discipline is an essential part of character building, creates a harmonious school community, and supports academic success.  The Journey School asks our students to demonstrate self-discipline and maturity in order to be promoted.  Students are asked to adhere to discipline requirements that are set forth in The Journey School Student Guidelines.
