My name is Ms. Boone and I’m really excited to teach, learn new things, and work together with my colleagues, scholars, and their families!!
My humble beginnings as a teacher started with being a preschool teacher and then transitioning to being an assistant teacher in the St. Paul Public School district. My educational background includes graduating from St. Paul College, Metro State University, and Concordia College, St. Paul.
I did my student teaching at The Journey School and soon after worked as a Special Education Paraprofessional here. I’m now teaching kindergarten at The Journey School and I can’t wait to get students excited about the world around them, the awesome people, and the learning opportunities in it.
I love teaching and working with kindergartners because of their curiosity and love of learning. I get to see the light bulb go off as they make connections to new materials and I love celebrating that with scholars and their families.
