We’re thrilled to share that our school was selected as 1 of only 25 schools in Minnesota to participate in the @flinthillsfamilyfestival in partnership with @the_ordway ! Over the past three weeks, some of our student artists have been painting a piano during their art sessions as part of this special opportunity with the art collaborative event. Their creativity and teamwork have truly shined!
Artists’ Statement
We named our piano Lavender Trail of Journey because we wanted it to show how everyone’s life path is unique and always moving. Our design is abstract, using different shades of purple to represent feelings like peace, creativity, strength, and reflection. The lavender trail flows across the piano like a journey through time and imagination. Even though the painting doesn’t show real places or people, each brushstroke and color choice tells a story. We hope that when people see it, they can imagine their own journey and feel inspired by all the possibilities ahead.
