Dear Journey School family and friends,
My name is Christopher Melendez (the scholars will refer to me as Mr. C.), and I am a teaching assistant for grades 5th and 6th. I have worked in educational environments and shared spaces with youth, families, and the community for over a decade.
I am a father to two daughters, an anti-racist organizer, and a trauma-informed restorative justice practitioner. I am from the Bronx, New York, and I am of Puerto Rican descent. I look forward to being in community with all of you here at The Journey School.
